Christian-led introductions in Maryland

Alignment unlocks value.Values unlock alignment.

I'm David Weigelt, and I'm a matchmaker for leaders and companies. MissioHQ is a Christian-led effort to introduce proven executives to Maryland owners who share their values. It starts with a free 30-minute conversation, and I don't share a name until both sides say yes.

About me

Why I do this, and why it's free

In 2016 we sold Immersion Active, the agency I co-founded and helped lead for 18 years. Looking back, the best thing about that company was the people. I got to work beside leaders who were very good at their jobs and who cared about the same things I did. That's where I learned what shared values are worth.

Since the sale, I've believed my job is to help other leaders build companies that honor God and serve people well. That's why I chair C12 forums for Christian CEOs here in Maryland, and it's why I host Leaders On Tap. Making introductions is part of the same calling, so I don't charge for it.

I'm a Christian, and that shapes how I do this. The values I listen for come from Scripture. You don't have to share my faith to work with me, but you should know where I'm coming from.

How we get started

How it works

  1. 01

    We talk.

Thirty minutes, free. If you're a leader, tell me what you do best and what you want next. If you're hiring, tell me about your company, your values and the seat you need to fill.

  2. 02

I think about who you should meet.

I listen for values, role and fit. Sometimes I know right away. Sometimes it takes a while, and I'll tell you so.

  3. 03

    Both sides say yes first.

I describe each side to the other without names. If you both want to meet, I introduce you, and you take it from there.

What I listen for

The five values I listen for

A résumé tells me what someone can do. These five tell me whether a leader and a company will last together. They come from Scripture, and you'll find them in good companies everywhere.

    Calling

Work is more than a paycheck. It's something you were made and sent to do.

    Ephesians 2:10; Colossians 3:23-24

  • / 02

    Integrity

Doing what you said you'd do, especially when no one is checking.

    Psalm 78:72; Proverbs 10:9

  • / 03

    Servant leadership

Leading for the good of the people you lead, without needing the credit.

    Mark 10:43-45; Philippians 2:3-4

  • / 04

    Care for people

Every person at work is made in God's image. High standards and real care belong together.

    Genesis 1:27; Matthew 7:12

  • / 05

    Stewardship

The company, its people and its money are a trust. None of it is ours to waste.

    Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 16:10

You don't have to be a Christian to share these. Introductions are based on values, experience and fit.
